Chan Wei Shing performed in many European festivals and concerts, also participated in masterclasses conducted by renowned cellists including, William Pleeth, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Wolfgang Bottcher, Valentin Erban, Phillipe Müller, and Ivan Montigetti.


Since returning to Singapore Wei Shing has continued to actively perform, being involved in many chamber concerts including a trio performance with pianist Pascal Roger during the Singapore Arts Festival with the Singapore Dance Theatre and CD recordings of Works by Tsao Chieh, Poon Yew Tien and String Quartets by Tan Chan Boon.


He maintains a busy schedule as Music Director of New Opera Singapore, staging fresh takes on traditional works since 2011. Past productions include DieFledermaus, Dido and Aeneas, L’elisir d’amour and Britten's Turn of the Screw.


An enthusiastic chamber musician, Wei Shing, together with fellow musicians from the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and pianist Lim Yan have presented the "Take-5" series of concerts which celebrates its tenth season in 2016.
